May Birthstone

May's Birthstone Emerald is my favorite stone of all! It is just so gorgeous and so classy and regal, which totally makes sense with me coming from England of course :) Emerald's are among the rarest of gems and the more vivid the the color of green, the more valuable the gemstone.  Cleopatra was famous for wearing these fancy gems and often ancient Egyptian mummies were buried with an Emerald to symbolize eternal youth (yes please).  If Cleopatra isn't Super Woman enough for you the roman goddess Venus was also said to be represented by the Emerald and was suppose to aid in fertility.  If you are serious about finding the best gem out there you will have to travel to Columbia where the finest Emerald's are made...for now we can just enjoy wearing all the beautiful Emerald Jewelry from the new collection :)
